P3M3® Maturity Assessment
A knock-out game where participants test themselves on what maturity level they are operating at. This game can be also be played to understand different levels of portfolio, programme and project management maturity within an organisation and is based on the P3M3® model of Axelos.
The P3M3® Model is a valuable tool to measure maturity in projects, programs and portfolios. It provides a framework for organisations to assess and benchmark their current performance and develop plans for improvement. P3M3® Maturity Assessment is unique in that it looks at the whole system and not just at the processes and can be tailored to meet the needs of the organisation and can be deployed in multiple ways.
P3M3 provides three maturity models that can be used separately to focus on specific areas of the business or more generally to assess the relationship between their portfolios, programmes and projects. This can also be applied on a single project or a programme if desired.
Ambition Group has extensive experience of working with organisations to improve their portfolio, programme and project to maturity Level 5. We are an Axelos Consulting Partner (ACP) certified to carry out these assessments. Check out references from our previous implementations here.
Key process areas within P3M3® are:
- Organisational governance
- Management control
- Benefits management
- Risk management
- Stakeholder management
- Finance management
- Resource management
P3M3® allows an assessment of the process in place,
the competencies of people, the tools deployed and the management information
used to manage and deliver improvements. This allows organisations to
determine their strengths and weaknesses in delivering change.
Benefits from P3M3® maturity assessments to your organisation are:
- Greater efficiencies on delivering programme and project outputs
- Integrate different processes across an organisation
- Improved outcomes and benefit delivery
- Improved quality of delivered projects and programmes
- Improved customer satisfaction
- Increased return on investment

Ambition Change & Coaching
“We believe there is always a bigger dream than you can dream for yourself. We show the potential, you make the journey”
Everything begins and ends with the organisational landscape and energy: the nature, structure, culture and people. Strength of an organisation depends on how it has mobilised its emotional, cognitive and behavioural potential to achieve its objectives especially during times of change. Lack of organisational energy manifests as change tiredness, lack of innovation, inertia, complacency, cynicism and burnout. Re-energise your organisation and people; make room for everything that works and resolve unworkable situations. Learn, deploy, improve and celebrate successes.
The TESTLAB is a suite of powerful tools to develop measurable points for individuals, teams and the organisation – the current as well as the desired future state for change.
